Samma sak med mig. Jag drar lätt 8-10k DPS utan BL/heroism som hunter. Ändå spelar jag i en guild som bara gör ICC10 och ToGC10.
Jag behöver knappt en enda sak från ICC10 atm.

Jag kopierade inlägget jag postade i ännu en sån där "wotlk är faceroll!"-tråd. Tråden heter "It's official: Everyone WILL be able to kill the Lich King" och handlar i grund och botten om raid wide-buffen.

Heroic Mode and achievements is how this game works now for hardcore players. Talking about normal mode being easy mode is close to irrelevant because that's the whole point, in a way. Casual players have the full right to gain progress without dedicating hours and hours and hours of playtime, at the same time as hardcore players have their challenge in the form of heroic mode and achievements.

I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in how quickly some bosses died in 25m heroic ICC, but every boss except M'uru and Kil'jaeden died within the first two weeks in Sunwell as well and I'm sure there are more such examples. M'uru and Kil'Jaeden is in that sense the Sunwell-equivalent of Professor Putricide and the Lich King. Also, Memento Mori (current world 23 guild) raided for 16 hours the first day of heroic mode and I'm sure more world top guilds raided for such crazy amounts of times as well. With time spent, progress follows.

Adding to this, I think the game being "too easy" has less to do with Blizzard than it has to do with the players themselves. Sure, some encounters are jokes, like Gunship Battle, Flame Leviathan and for many people the 10m version of Valithria Dreamwalker, but none of those bosses are far into the raid (remember, you don't have to go to The Plagueworks first) and I can tell you Putricide, Blood Council, BQL, Lich King etc. is not a walk in the park. Even Rotface was a bitch before we learnt the tactics, as was Lady Deathwhisper 25 (in a sense).

This is a list of examples of what I mean when I say it's got more to do with players than Blizzard. Compared to five years ago, people now have...

* ...up to five years of experience with pushing the right buttons.
* ...a lot of experience with bosses / boss-abilities which works in a similar fashion to current bosses (there are only so many ways to create completely separate abilities, some of them are bound to be alike).
* ...a gazillion great addons tweaked an insane amount of times during the years.
* ...less people per raid (25 instead of 40), meaning less people to make mistakes.

I'm going to compare Lich King Heroic with Twin Emperors. Both encounters have a 15 min enrage timer and the Twin Emperors have the most amount of hp in Vanilla, as far as I know. Twin Emperors might not be a patchwerk, but neither is the Lich King.

In the comparison, I will write an inaccurate amount of hp for the Lich King, but with a perfectly good reason. This is a screenshot of recount after Vodka killed the Lich King on 25m normal:

The Lich King himself only have 61,009,376 hp in the 25m normal encounter, so the total damage output (in this case) is equal to 1.63219299 times the Lich Kings health. Seeing as he has 103m hp in 25m Heroic Mode, I'm going to assume the damage output throughout the encounter will be around 168m.

Not mentioning the Lich King has four different phases including <10%, a separate room with adds and new abilities in the phase transitions. At least on paper, I wouldn't call this encounter much easier than the Twin Emperors, and neither do I think it's any easier in reality.

Oh, one last thing. Don't forget 25m Yogg +0 was the hardest encounter in the entire history of the game and that it took 2 ½ months and a setup never before seen, or even thought of, before the first kill.
