You Don't Have Much Motivation? READ THIS!!
How many times have you wanted to do something, but never had enough motivation to do so?
Perhaps you are depressed and or feeling very emotionally unbalanced?
I am in no way, an expert in solving these issues. Nor do I claim that whatever I say here is the best way you can go about it.
I Simply wish to share my perspectives on this matter.
First of all, if you are emotionally unbalanced/Depressed, you must recognize that you will have your ''good days''
and you will also have your ''bad days''. You must recognize that certain things you do will make you feel good,
and there are certain things you do that will make you feel bad. It's ok to feel bad. It's not ok to think that you
can't change how you will feel tomorrow, or the next day. Sure, you might not be able to completely balance
yourself, nor take your depression away from one day to another, but you are always able to make your days
Just a BIT better, or just a BIT less worse. And that for the majority of people, it is possible to eventually get
out of this viscous cycle that consumes you.
First thing's first, i find it always helps to visualize all the different things that are affecting you,
both good and bad. So, to make a chart of some sort, on a piece of paper, will help way more than
you can imagine.
1: Write down the things that you know you do often that you shouldn't be doing. (Bad habits!) And also the things that you know if you do them, you will feel like complete crap afterwards. This way you are able to visualize the problems you want to over come, and you are able to perhaps think more about those particular things you do that you want to stop so you can feel better.
2: Try and understand why it is you are doing these things. The more you understand about why you do things, the easier it is to identify the MAIN problems. And the Easier it gets to avoid them.
I'll give you an example ; You've been smoking too much weed, or drinking too much alcohol, that is has been getting in the way of doing the things you want to do. And or you always end up regretting having smoked so much, or having drank so much. You would have to ask yourself, ok, why do you smoke or drink so much? Ok, perhaps because you are around many friends that smoke/drink. Perhaps you feel that you will fall outside that crowd if you don't drink or smoke? So, what would be the real issue? You wanting to feel accepted by others. Perhaps you are desperately trying to feel like you ''belong'' somewhere (As most humans want to feel).
In this case, you would have to take a step back, and see if these people are worth hanging out with. If you only hang out with them for drinking and smoking, and you feel like you can't otherwise hang with them? Then I think you should take a pause from them, and start surrounding yourself with other type of people, so you can later on see if those drinking/smoking friends are worth keeping or not.
Basically, you have to try and reflect on your choices and why you have made them. You have to step back, and look at things in an objective way
( a neutral way of looking at things ). You can not let your emotions take control of your life, YOU are not a slave to your emotions.
Summary : Find out what is messing with your emotions and motivation, and do something about it.
Now, you need some kind of way to get motivated, GET inspired, it is also important to know what makes you feel happy. From feeling ''Ok happy'' to feeling ''LIFE IS AMAZING HAPPY''.
These are the things that you will use as fuel to make you move forward, especially in those days that you feel like complete crap.
For example, if i ever needed motivation to work out and exercise but feel to lazy to do it, i go to youtube and look for videos of people
Who have it way more harder than i have it, perhaps they don't even have arms of legs, but they still find it in themselves to move forward
and achieve their goals. I don't know about you, but that is inspiring as FUCK!
So, a good way is to find someone or something that fills you with that feeling of ''inspiration''. When you are inspired, you feel like doing things.
You feel like making something out of that energy. So, that can be used as a fuel to motivate yourself whenever you need it.
Summary : Find out what you can use as fuel to get you doing the things you want to do, and know how to properly apply them when you need them
This is far from the best writing skills, or structuring of advice, but i didn't want to spend too much time on this, but just enough still to get the idea and message through', so, GOOD LOOK AND GET YOUR ASS MOTIVATED!!!!
Also, never underestimate a good night's sleep, and eating the right foods in the right time your body needs it, THAT will make the difference between you actually doing something productive on that day, or just sit at home and spend time feeling miserable about yourself.
