Igårkväll försökte jag installera igen från administratör, det gick inte. Samma sak, den stannade på 70%.
Jag blir galeeeeen, jag vill ju spela!
Hi,
If the patch is stopping at 70% that is the stage when the patch will begin to install, as you have already downloaded the patch to your system.
If the patch is failing at 70% this is likely a permissions issue in that the patch does not have the required rights to write information to the HDD or that something is blocking the patch from installing.
In a majority of the cases this is caused by the UAC if you are using Windows Vista, in other situations it could be the security software you have installed that is preventing the patch from installing.
If you are using Windows Vista, you can bypass the UAC by using the following steps.
- Locate the World of Warcraft icon on the desktop.
- Right-Click on that icon and select from the menu that appears Properties
- Select the Compatibility tab
- Locate the section named Privilege Level
- Check the box named Run this program as administrator
- Click Apply then Ok
- Restart the game again to retest, if the same issues appear.
You can also try disabling your AV software during the patching process as this should stop the program from blocking the program.
Finally if you have the patch downloaded to your HDD, you can boot the computer into safemode and manually install that patch directly from the root WOW folder.

Jag klickade F8 några gånger när datorn startade, en meny kom upp. Inget av alternativen var safe mode. Men när jag startade stod det också på ett hörn F12: Boot Menu, kanske är det rätt?

Nein inte boot menu. DÅ får du välja hur du skall boota datorn, dvs om den skall starta OSen från Hårddisken, Floppy eller annat.

Okey, men hur ska jag få fram safe mode då? När jag klickade F8 kom bara lite weirda alternativ upp, det första fattade jag inte vad det var och de efter var typ skrivaren mm.`
