Ihsahn:s nya lät väldigt intressant. (jag vet att det inte är ren Death Metal, men orkar inte leta upp/skapa en massa subgenre trådar).

Älskar Saxofonen =).

Gore-metal originators Exhumed are currently in the studio recording their first full-length album since 2003's Anatomy Is Destiny.

Exhumed guitarist/vocalist/founder Matt Harvey, bassist Leon DelMuerte and guitarist Wes Caley are currently at Arcane Digital Recording in Arizona working with engineer Ryan Butler (Misery Index) to record vocals, bass and guitar tracks. Exhumed drummer Danny Walker previously laid down his drum tracks at Trench Studios with John Haddad (Abysmal Dawn, Intronaut). Mixing and mastering will be handled by Brian Elliott (Graves Of Valor) at Mana Recording Studios (Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore, Nile).

Matt Harvey recently checked in from the studio with the following update: "So far we're really psyched on what's been oozing out of the speakers! The guitars are sounding really aggressive right out of the box. I can't wait to get into the vocals and flesh out the songs. We have 18 songs to work through while we're here and then we'll sort through and cherry-pick the heaviest, ugliest tracks for the new record, which is gonna be titled All Guts, No Glory. I think it builds on all the best shit from our first three records and should disgust and revolt any poseurs out there!"

All Guts, No Glory is expected to see a spring 2011 release date. Additional, detailed studio updates will be posted on the band's MySpace page, Facebook page, and new blog.

Exhumed has confirmed that their first North American appearance in support of the new album will be as part of Maryland Deathfest 2011.

Jag vet inte ens om folk har nämnt följande band i denna tråd. Men det är verkligen några band som känns totalt underskattade. Och som är bra.

As you all may know, we have been searching for a new drummer since early September this year. We have gotten a great deal of drummer-applicants from various countries. Some of them where really awesome drummers, to say the least. We would like to take the opportunity to thank every single one of you for showing interest and sending us drum-videos of you playing our songs etc. Thank you so much and good luck with your future endeavors.

Without really thinking about it, the best solution for us was lurking around the corner. Arttu Malkki, our first original drummer (1999-2002) has during the last year been showing interest in playing faster death-metal once more. After his departure from Aeon back in 2002, Arttu has mainly been playing in heavier / slower metal bands.

A couple of weeks ago, we saw him perform a show with our buddies Sanctification and we where really, really impressed with Arttu’s “fast-drumming” comeback. Later on, Arttu asked us if we wanted to jam a couple of songs with him just to see what it would feel like. So we did, and it sounded massive! We decided to give it another shot, and once again we played songs like Living sin, Soulburner, God Gives head, Hel-el Ben Shachar, Spreading their disease among others and this hard-hitting drum-monster makes us sound really massive.

Both we and Arttu felt that this was just so right and we decided to once again be bandmates.

Besides the obvious fact that Arttu is a killer drummer, he is also an original, founding member of the band and goes way back with Tommy and Zeb from the pre-Aeon era in “Defaced Creation”. Another detail that made Arttu our final choice is that he lives in the same city as we do, and this is a major plus. Now we can take on every single gig / tour we want to. This without having a drummer in another city or country even, that we need to fly over etc.

I remember when he first left us back in 2002 and Nils replaced him, the one thing that i missed about Arttu the most was his hard hitting and brutal drum-sound. Even if Nils is a more technical drummer, Arttu has some other qualities that suited us really well in its own way. Needless to say, they are both amazing drummers.

So we will now be spending the next couple of months rehearsing songs / setlists and after that, we will take on shows & eventually some tours if the right offers lands on the table. We are all truly exited about being a complete band once again and being able to make things really happened has never felt more possible than now.

With that being said, lets raise the horns high and welcome Arttu Malkki back to Aeon.

Cheers!

/Daniel & Aeon

Former DEICIDE members Eric Hoffmann (guitar) and Brian Hoffman (guitar) have resurrected their pre-DEICIDE band AMON with Jesse "Jecheal" Jolly (PROMETHEAN HORDE, DIABOLIC, SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY, AFTER DEATH) on vocals/bass and and Mike Petrak (LEPROSY, SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY) on drums. The Florida-based quartet will enter RedRoom Recorders in Tampa on December 10 with producer Mark Prator to begin recording its new album, entitled "Liar In Wait". The CD will consist of nine songs and will be made available in early 2011 via AMON's own record label.

When asked how the musical direction of AMON will be different to that of DEICIDE, Eric Hoffmann told BLABBERMOUTH.NET simply, "The music will speak for itself."

AMON recorded two demos — 1987's "Feasting The Beast" and 1989's "Sacrifical" — before signing with Roadrunner Records and changing its name to DEICIDE. After producing two extremely successful albums as DEICIDE, the band chose to make the AMON demos available on CD in 1993 under the title "Amon: Feasting The Beast".

The Hoffman brothers parted ways with DEICIDE in 2004 after becoming embroiled in a bitter dispute with DEICIDE bassist/vocalist Glen Benton over royalties and publishing issues.
