"Gaming website Gamasutra are reporting that a relatively massive layoff of employees has gone down at popular developer/distributor Valve. An exact number has yet to be confirmed but reports are claiming that at least 25 employees have been let go from Valve’s hardware and Android departments. Gamasutra is stating that the off-the-record employees who have been fired from their jobs are describing the incident with terms like “great cleansing” and that they are occurring in the middle of “large decisions” currently being made at Valve.
While again all of these details have yet to be fully confirmed we can state for certain that at least one major Valve employee was let go today: hardware designer Jeri Ellsworth. Ellsworth had initially been brought into Valve in mid-2012 in order to work on the company’s Big Picture Mode and what has been described as next-gen console technology. In particular she was charged with developing a controller that would be able to effectively recreate the keyboard/mouse control approach employed by many titles currently available on Steam. We know that Ellsworth at least has been let go via her own twitter account where earlier today she tweeted the following: “Yup. Got fired today. Time for new exciting projects.”

Om du menar Steambox så är det inte valve som jobbar på den utan de har gett ut en bruksanvisning på hur du ska kunna göra en steambox.
