I'm proud of my scars, without them I hadn't been as strong and recovered as I am today. The pain that ate further into my body finally got a chance to be freed. The truth ran out with blood and tears, it was hell, but I have no regrets in what so ever. For many years I had it tough, I had zero confidence and lied every day for others around me about how I really felt and hid it all behind a smile. Though the worst of all was probably that I was lying to myself all that time.

Today I smile and laugh with an easing in my heart. My journey to figure out who I am continues every day and I'm not as afraid of the future. I never want to forget my past, for it reminds me of who I am and why I struggled so. The best thing is to always be yourself no matter what.
