- John, come on we will miss school.
- Okay, just wait five minutes. Let me finish up this.

After some minutes John came down the stairs. Taylor had been waiting for 10 minutes now for John to finish up his school bag.

Taylor and John started to take their normal way to school. On the way to school John saw a poster in a store that said, ”We want you” and there was a picture of a military soldier. John didn’t think so much of it and moved on. They we’re almost in school then Taylor suddenly stopped and looked at John.

- Will you come and watch me at my dancing audition?
- Of course, we’re friends aren’t we?
- Yeah, I just wanted to make sure.

Taylor got a smile on her face and started to move towards the school. John didn’t usually have a feeling like this, he had started to get feelings for Taylor, so of course he want to keep her happy. John and Taylor went inside the school and said.

- See you after class
- Yeah, at the usual spot?
- Yeah, were else would we go?
- Okay see you later.

John had History class now so he wanted to get in time. Today they learned about all the different wars that have been in the history. John got really interested in this and asked the teacher after class if there were any books about it. The teacher gave him a book and said.

- This one have much facts and an interesting story as well, I recommend you to read it.
- Thanks, I will.

John got to the spot where he would meet up with Taylor, but she wasn’t there. He couldn’t understand where she could be. He looked around and asked, but no one knew.

It didn’t take long before he started to hear sirens outside of the school. Of the feeling it could be Taylor that have got hurt he ran outside. He went up to the ambulance and pushed away everyone to be able to see who it was. His feeling were right. It was Taylor laying on the stretcher. John took hold of Taylor’s hand and said “It’s going to be alright” with a small smile on her face she closed her eyes and went unconscious. The ambulance took off and John started to ask around what happened.

- She got hit by a car, after the impact we found these roses laying on the street.

John took off to the hospital, he needed to see her. He had to know her status. He needed to know if she was okay. He started to run to the hospital with tears running down his face. He have never been this afraid of losing someone. He started to feel it was hard to breath, but his feeling of losing her took over and he just ran faster to get there.

He went inside the hospital and asked if he could see Taylor Parker. It didn’t take long before he got an yes from the woman at the desk and he ran to her room. She was awake and in a bad condition. John walked slowly forward now when he saw she was still alive. He feel onto his knees and started to cry on her bed. He looked at her and said.

- I was so worried about you.

Her status was critical so she couldn’t do so much. She asked John to get a little bit closer. She then whispered in his ear. “If I didn’t have to die today, I would have married you”. She closed her eyes the machine started to beep and the doctors ran inside. John had no idea of what just happened. Was she dead, no she couldn’t be dead? It’s not possible. John went up on his legs, he had a scared and confused face. John just looked at her lifeless body and started to run out to the lobby then out to the street. The tears started to come again, but now with sadness.

He got home and cried out all his thoughts. This was his biggest lost in his whole life. Nothing could ever compare with what Taylor meant to him. John’s heart was crushed. "Should I take suicide? I could reunite with Taylor then, we never have to be without each other then". John got down to the kitchen and grabbed a knife, he went into the bathroom and said to himself “Taylor, I will now see you again” But when he was just about to cut his throat he got a feeling that this wouldn’t be what Taylor would want him to do. He dropped the knife on the floor and went to lightening. He had to move on it’s nothing he could do to help the dead.
Six months later

The loss of Taylor was still hard for John, but he had started to move on with his life. Today he would go to school as usually, but nothing has been the same since Taylor past away. John got his bag ready and started to go. Today he was looking around his surroundings much more then he usually do. After some time he saw the exact the same poster that he saw six months ago, “We want you” John started to think of it and this day he would join the army, for Taylor. To be able to protect and save other peoples life would probably be the best gift John could give Taylor.

He went to the principal’s office and said that he would like to leave school to be able to join the army. He got his request permitted and John took off school early this day to start his new life. His life as a soldier in the US military.
